Dinefwr Blankets – Terms & Conditions (Trade Accounts)

At Dinefwr Blankets, we are proud to continue the tradition of weaving, supplying heritage Welsh pattern blankets to our trade partners across the UK and beyond. Our products are made using natural wool, rooted in historic patterns and techniques.

 

These terms and conditions are here to provide clarity, protect both parties, and ensure a smooth and fair relationship with our trade customers.

 

 

 

1. Definitions

​

• “Dinefwr Blankets” / “Seller” – refers to Dinefwr Blankets.

• “Buyer” – refers to the person, business, or organisation placing an order with us.

• “Goods” – refers to the blankets or related products supplied by Dinefwr Blankets.

• “Order” – the request by the Buyer to purchase Goods.

• “Contract” – the agreement between Buyer and Seller once an order has been confirmed.

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be published on our website.

2. Trade Accounts

​

• We supply to trade customers only. Proof of trading (e.g. business registration, invoices, VAT details) is required.

• Applications are subject to approval. We reserve the right to refuse or close accounts at our discretion.

• Prices may change without notice.

• Minimum annual spend for trade accounts is £1,000. Accounts below this may be closed.

 

 

3. Orders

​

• Orders are binding once confirmed by us.

• Buyers must ensure order details are correct before submitting.

• Any descriptions, images or samples are for guidance only – colours and finishes may vary as our products are handmade.

4. Product Information

 

• Our blankets are woven using natural wool. Due to traditional weaving and hand-finishing, slight variations in size, colour, or weave may occur – these are part of the character, not faults.

• We reserve the right to make small changes to designs or specifications when needed.

5. Payment

 

• All orders must be paid pro-forma (in advance), unless otherwise agreed.

• All orders require full payment before dispatch.

• Deposits may be required for large or custom orders and are non-refundable if cancelled late.

 

 

6. Delivery

 

• Delivery is complete once Goods arrive at the agreed address.

• We cannot guarantee exact delivery times but will give estimated dates when requested.

• Delivery costs will be confirmed at time of order.

• Risk passes to the Buyer on delivery. Ownership passes once full payment is received.

7. International Orders

​

• We can deliver to UK freight forwarders or arrange export at cost.

• Buyers are responsible for all duties, taxes, and import regulations in their country.

​

 

8. Returns & Cancellations

​

• Goods must be checked on arrival. Any issues must be reported in writing within 7 days.

• Returns are only accepted with prior agreement, in original packaging, and may be subject to a restocking charge.

• Custom-made or special orders cannot be returned unless faulty.

• Orders can only be cancelled before dispatch (a small charge may be issued). After dispatch, delivery and return costs will apply.

 

 

9. Branding & Intellectual Property

 

• Dinefwr Blankets is a brand. Under no circumstances may Goods be rebranded, relabelled, or sold under another name.

• Branding labels must not be removed, altered, or replaced.

• All designs, names, images, and marketing materials remain the property of Dinefwr Blankets and must not be reproduced without written permission.

• Wholesale pricing and terms are confidential and must not be shared with third parties.

10. Resale & Pricing

 

• We encourage trade partners to respect recommended retail prices (RRP) to maintain the value and heritage of Dinefwr Blankets.

• Undercutting of RRP may result in closure of trade accounts.

 

 

11. Care Guidance

​

• As with all pure wool products, blankets should be stored carefully and protected from moths.

• We recommend gentle airing and spot-cleaning only. See care and Maintenance for full care instructions.

• We are not responsible for damage caused by improper care (e.g. machine washing or incorrect storage).

12. Liability

​

• We are not liable for indirect loss (e.g. lost profits) caused by delays or issues with supply.

• Our total liability will not exceed the value of the Goods supplied.

• Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or negligence.

 

 

13. General

 

• These terms override any others unless agreed in writing.

• Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g. weather, strikes, public holidays).

• English law applies to these terms and any disputes will be handled in UK courts.
